Simon Van Booy is a British author. His debut short-story collection is "The Secret Lives of People in Love".
Van Booy was born in
London and grew up in ruralWales andOxford . After playing football inKentucky for two years, he lived inParis andAthens . In 2002 he was awarded an M.F.A. and won the H.R. Hays Poetry Award. His journalism has appeared in magazines and newspapers including "The New York Times " and the "New York Post ". Van Booy now lives inNew York City where he teaches at theSchool of Visual Arts andLong Island University . He is also involved in theBard College Access Program for at-risk young adults.The Secret Lives of People in Love
