Erik began his career in 1978 as a
disc jockey at a smallAM radio station in Vista, California, and later became a radio personality in the San Diego and Los Angeles radio markets in the 1980s and ‘90s, most notably at "91X " and "KGB-FM San Diego" and "XETRA-AM Los Angeles".He has also been involved in radio and television production as a freelance producer and, rarely, as an on-camera actor.Since the late 1990s Thompson has been a full-time
voice actor and promotionalannouncer for television networks.
