Barff Peninsula

Barff Peninsula

Barff Peninsula (coord|54|19|S|36|18|W|) is a headland forming the east margin of Cumberland East Bay, South Georgia, extending northwest from Sorling Valley 8 miles (13 km) to Barff Point. Probably first seen by the British expedition under James Cook in 1775. The peninsula takes its name from its northern extremity, Barff Point.
