Simone Pope the Elder (c. 1430 – c. 1480) was an Italian painter of the Renaissance period, active mainly in Naples. He was a pupil of the painter Antonio Solario. He painted the St Michael, saints and donors now in Capodimonte Museum. He painted an Annunciation for the church of San Niccolo alla Dogana. He painted a Virgin and savior with saints for the church of San Lorenzo. He painted a St Michael defeating rebel angels for the church of Santa Maria Nuova.
