Iain McIntyre

Iain McIntyre is an Australian rock and roll musician and writer. Originally from Perth, he relocated to Melbourne in 1992, where he played in The Sea Haggs with fellow Perth expatriate Laura Macfarlane. In 1996, he joined Macfarlane's new band ninetynine, of which he has remained a member since. He has also played in numerous other projects, including Thee Stag Knights, The Gay Bushrangers, Kokoshkar, The Stoned Posers and The Dennis Lillees.

Iain McIntyre has been involved in anarchist politics, and was involved in the compilation of the How To Make Trouble And Influence People series of books documenting the history of political pranks in Australia. He is also involved in the left-wing community radio station 3CR. He also published a zine named Woozy during the 1990s. More recently, he was one of the compilers of "Wild About You", a 2004 anthology of interviews with members of the 1960s Australian garage rock scene, which came with a CD of covers of 1960s garage songs by contemporary indie rock bands.
