Bill Hudson (guitarist)

Bill Hudson, born in January 13 in Sao Paulo, Brazil, is a heavy metal guitarist. He moved to the United States during the year of 2005 in order to join the Nebraskan power metal band Cellador, playing on their debut album Enter Deception and remaining in their line-up until early 2008. Early life and education

Bill started playing when he was 12 years old, mainly influenced by Slash. He studied with other teachers, besides going to music college in his native Brazil for the regency and composition degree.

Playing career

Bill Hudson is very well known for his technique and speed, although he's said in interviews lately that he tries not to play fast unless extremely necessary.

That was mainly due to the fact that Hudson has always liked to feel challenged to play hard songs. At 14 years of age, he started a Joe Satriani/Yngwie Malmsteen tribute band, and at 16 a Dream Theater tribute band.

He was virtually unknown in the metal scene, except for a studio project called The Supremacy. [http://www.myspace.com/supremacyroxx] The project features well-known European musicians, such as drummer Mark Cross of Firewind and formerly of Helloween, as well as keyboard player Joost Van den Broek, of After Forever, Ayreon, Star One, among others. In 2005, Hudson auditioned for German Power metal band Freedom Call, after being referred by longtime friend Cede Dupont, who had just quit said band. However, his big break did not come until later that same year, when in he auditioned for and joined American Power metal band Cellador, on Metal Blade Records. In January, 2008 Hudson announced his departure from Cellador, and the birth of his new band Coldera.
