Þórey Edda Elísdóttir

Þórey Edda Elísdóttir (born 30 June 1977) is an Icelandic pole vaulter. Her personal best is 4.60 metres, achieved in July 2004 in Madrid.

Achievements

She stood as a candidate for the Left-Green Movement in the Icelandic parliamentary election, 2003 but did not succeed in winning a seat. [http://www.vg.is/frettir/eldri-frettir/nr/604]

Þórey Edda is now preparing herself for the Olympic Games in Peking this summer. She lives in Leverkusen. She practises once to two times a day but she has to be very careful, she has been dealing with some injury, both in her shoulder and in her calf. But right now she is doing very well and she is looking forward to compeet this summer.

At the 2008 Summer Olympics she didn't qualify for final with the result 4.15 metres.

Last winter Þórey Edda finished engineering from the University of Iceland.
