Popular Front for Armed Resistance

Popular Front for Armed Resistance

Popular Front for Armed Resistance, or PFAR, was founded in 1960's and active until 1973 in Pakistan. It was run by Baluchi tribal separatist groups, which carry out serial bomb attacks. In 1974 at Zulfikar Ali Bhutto, the group announced and end to the insurgency, which had by that time claimed the lives of 5,300 Baluchi fighters and 3,300 army personal. As a result, this made some 20,000 Baluchi tribesmen pick up arms against the Pakistani Army.
