St.Rynagh's is a
Gaelic Athletic Association club that encompasses the towns of Cloghan andBanagher inCounty Offaly , inIreland . Formed in1961 , the club soon became a powerhouse in Offaly hurling, winning the senior championship in 1965. St. Rynagh's went on to dominate club hurling in Offaly over the next thirty years, appearing in three All-Ireland club finals during this period. St. Rynagh's also supplied three of Offaly's four All-Ireland winning captains, namelyPadraig Horan ,Martin Hanamy andHubert Rigney .Famous players in the clubs history also include Barney Moylan, Paudge Mulhare,
Pad Joe Whelahan , first ever all-stargoalkeeper Damien Martin , Aidan and Declan Fogarty, Tom and Mícheál Conneely, David Hughes, Roy Mannion,Michael Duignan , Shane McGuckin, Paudie Mulhare and John Ryan. The success of the football club has been quite varied over the years.It enters teams for all major GAA codes, and has had and continues to have many players on the county teams, though in recent years St. Rynaghs have been more noted for supplying players to the football inter-county side. Paudie Mulhare, Gary Mahon and the Rafferty brothers, James and Ger, have all represented the Senior side in recent years, while in hurling a number of players have featured in recent years. Namely Ray Devery, Darragh Kelly, Declan Tanner, Kevin Kelly, Pat McIntyre, Garry O'Connor, Damien McDermott, Cathal Horan and Conor Hernon.
St.Rynagh's also has a thriving minor club, winning the Minor, Under 16, and Under 14 Offaly championships in 2007, while also reaching the Semi-Final at the 2007
Féile na nGael inKilkenny . The Under 14 football squad captured the Divisiion 3 title at Feile Peil na nOg alsoThe St. Rynagh's Senior Football side are based in Cloghan and wear green and white hooped jerseys. They are managed by Ken Kellaghan (Rhode).
The St. Rynagh's Senior Hurling side are based out in Banagher and wear blue and gold jerseys and are managed by Aidain Fogarty.
