Felix Legueu (
August 12 ,1863 - 1940) was a Frenchurologist andgynecologist who was born inAngers . He was a clinical professor inParis and asurgeon at Hôpital Necker. He was a member of theAcadémie de Médecine .Legueu was a highly-regarded surgeon involving
genitourinary disorders. In 1913 he described a surgical technique concerningvesicovaginal fistula e (VVF). A VVF is an abnormal passageway between the bladder andvagina . Today, the "Dittel-Forgue-Legueu operation" is sometimes used for closure of vesicovaginal fistulae. This surgical procedure is named in conjunction with Drs. Dittel and Forgue. A few modern surgical instruments bear Legueu's name, such as the "Legueu bladderretractor " and the "Legueu bladder spatula".Written works
