Frédéric Labadie-Lagrave (
August 16 ,1844 - 1917) was a French physician who was a native ofLot-et-Garonne .He studied medicine in
Paris , where in 1873 he earned his doctorate. In 1879 he became "médecin des hôpitaux" in Paris. During theFranco-Prussian War , he was decorated for bravery on the battleground atMetz .Labadie-Lagrave specialized in
genito-urinary medicine , and withGermain Sée (1818-1896), he was co-author of the multi-volume "Médecine clinique". In this work he contributed treatises onurology , and diseases of theliver ,kidneys andbile ducts . WithFelix Legueu (1863-1940) he published an influential book on medical-surgical gynecology called "Traite medico-chirurgical de gynecologie". He also contributed numerous articles toSigismond Jaccoud 's "Dictionnaire de Médecin".References
