Frédéric Labadie-Lagrave

Frédéric Labadie-Lagrave (August 16, 1844 - 1917) was a French physician who was a native of Lot-et-Garonne.

He studied medicine in Paris, where in 1873 he earned his doctorate. In 1879 he became "médecin des hôpitaux" in Paris. During the Franco-Prussian War, he was decorated for bravery on the battleground at Metz.

Labadie-Lagrave specialized in genito-urinary medicine, and with Germain Sée (1818-1896), he was co-author of the multi-volume "Médecine clinique". In this work he contributed treatises on urology, and diseases of the liver, kidneys and bile ducts. With Felix Legueu (1863-1940) he published an influential book on medical-surgical gynecology called "Traite medico-chirurgical de gynecologie". He also contributed numerous articles to Sigismond Jaccoud's "Dictionnaire de Médecin".
