Iran ian missile program. The missile itself is a minor variant of the Scud-B, which Iran initially acquired from Libya and Syria between 1985 and 1986. The Scud-B's 300 km range allowed Iran to strikeBaghdad during theIran–Iraq War . Iran later received Scud-B missiles fromNorth Korea and possibly theSoviet Union .
