Sinasamba Kita, like most Filipino film classics originated from a comics novel. The original comics novel was written by Gilda Olvidado.

Plot

They are half-sisters, connected by blood. But to Divina, Nora is just her late father's illegitimate daughter. Yet, despite the harsh treatment she gets, Nora remains awestruck and continues to adulate her strong-willed older sister. But even the meekest of people can only bear so much. Nora leaves the comfort of home to find her own place under the sun, and in due time, she and Divina are to meet again to settle the score once and for all. *Due to her popularity, via Bakekang, GMA Network decided to give the leading role to Sheryl Cruz.
*In Bakekang, Sheryl Cruz and Wendell Ramos were supposed to play husband and wife, but Ramos was replaced by Jay Manalo. In this series, Cruz and Ramos plays as lovers.
*Originally, it was JC de Vera and Camille Prats who were set to play Nora and Oscar, but due to her schedule problems, Pratts was replaced by Valerie Concepcion. De Vera's manager, Anabelle Rama, doesn't want his talent to be paired with Concepcion because she thinks the two have no chemistry; so, de Vera is replaced by Carlo Aquino.
