civil parish on the outskirts of Reading in the English county ofBerkshire . The parish takes its name from theHoly Brook , a watercourse which forms its southern boundary.There is no village or hamlet called Holybrook, and the parish is largely made up of two recent suburbs of Reading,
Beansheaf Farm andFords Farm , together with that part of the older suburb of Calcot that lies south of the A4 Bath Road.The civil parish is a recent creation, dating from
2000 when it was created from that part of the parish of Theale that lay to the east of theM4 motorway .The parish has an elected parish council and falls within the area of the
unitary authority ofWest Berkshire . Both the parish council and the unitary authority are responsible for different aspects of local government. The parish falls within the Reading West parliamentary constituency.See also
