Curt Johnson is former General Manager of the Kansas City Wizards, a position he had held from 1999 to 2006.[1]
Johnson attended North Carolina State University, graduating in 1991 with a BA in Communication studies. He played as a defender for NC State, starting all four years, and captaining the 1990 side that made the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) semifinals.
From 1992-94 he served as the Midwest region's marketing director for Adidas. He served as an assistant coach for the Raleigh Flyers in 1995 and at North Carolina State in 1996.
In January 1997 he was hired by the Richmond Kickers as Vice President of Business Operations. In January 1998 he was promoted to Vice President and General Manager, positions he retained until joining the Wizards in November of 1999.
In 2006, Johnson resigned as GM from the Wizards.
