variants with their own articles=The Anderson Greenwood AG-14 was a two-seat utility aircraft developed in the
United States shortly afterWorld War II . It was an unorthodox shoulder-wing braced monoplane of pod-and-boom configuration, equipped with apusher propeller and fixed tricycleundercarriage . The prototype first flew in October 1947, but plans to mass-produce the aircraft were interrupted by theKorean War . Eventually, only five more examples were built before Anderson Greenwood abandoned the project in favour of producing aircraft components for other manufacturers. In 1969 one AG-14 aircraft was acquired by
Cessna Aircraft Company and taken toWichita, Kansas for evaluation. Cessna designed and constructed a singleprototype aircraft of similar configuration (equipped with aContinental Motors O-200 engine of 100 hp), with the goal of a possibleCessna 150 replacement. While performance was similar to a C-150, the disadvantages:*Limited cargo space
*Boom vibrations ("boom bounce")
*Different stall characteristics (compared to C-150)
*Possible reluctance of flight schools to use a training aircraft of unusual configuration
*High projected construction cost
were enough to cause program cancellation. The prototype was scrapped that same year.
