Joe Daniels (actor)

Joe Daniels was born in Portsmouth on May 19 1981. He had been acting since he was 5 years old in many theatrical productions through School to College and in many amateur dramatics societies. It was at the age of 14 that Joe starting to take an interest in making films. He would take a camcorder and film his friends acting out scenes he had written. Over the years Joe’s film making starting to get better and he started to make films to promote himself as an actor. He would show these to everyone he met.

University

It was not until Joe went to university that he took the next step in his career. It was at university that Joe met Neil Jones. Neil had just started writing and was very interested in making movies. After showing Neil a few of his earlier projects Joe inspired Neil to write a part for him in the film he was writing called “The Bond”. Joe was cast as one of the leads opposite Stuart Brennan who was also producing the film. Stuart had his own production company he had started called Burn Hand.

It was through this company that Joe got a chance to write and direct his own feature drama called “Give and Take”. This film was also the first time that Joe had worked with another friend and colleague he had met at university called Simeon B Davies. Simeon was the D.O.P for this film. Give and Take was also made in association with Cheers Butt Productions which was Simeon’s production company.

Later career

After university Joe went back to acting for a while taking roles in many student films and also working for Burn Hand on numerous occasions.

The most notable of these films was "The Lost", a World War 2 film with a supernatural twist.

Joe later went on to join Simeon B Davies in running the Production Company Cheers Butt Productions. Since their partnership they have made "Buriton Heights" and are currently working on a feature called "The Touch" (which is to be directed by J K Burgess). There is also a 12 part supernatural mystery series they plan to make called "Adam’s Eve" that Joe has already written.

Apart from projects with Cheers Butt Productions Joe continues to act for Burn Hand (He will soon be returning to the role that started his career in The Bond 2) and has started his own production company called Dr Marber Productions.
