Parents Enquiry Scotland

Parents Enquiry Scotland

Parents Enquiry Scotland is an Edinburgh based support group for the parents of lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender people. It operates a helpline and sends speakers to groups and organisations. The organisation is often asked by the Scottish Parliament or the Scottish Government to represent parents of LGBT people in the formulation of equality policy. Parliamentarian Patrick Harvie is a patron. [http://www.secularism.org.uk/78786.html]

Anne Patrizio, one of the group's organisers, was awarded a MBE in the 2004 New Year's Honours List for her work over many years with the organization.

In 2002, the Scottish LGBT community honoured Parents Enquiry Scotland at the Pride Scotland Festival with the annual Award for Health.
