All pupils must wear
school uniform which consists of a blue, red, white and blacktartan skirt with a white blouse (short-sleeved), black V-neck jumper and blackblazer with the school badge for the girls; black trousers, blazer, white shirt and the school tie for the boys. There is also a schoolP.E. kit, which consists of a choice of a black t-shirt, black football shorts, white football socks, red rugby shirt or black school tracksuit and trainers or inexpensive plimpsolls. The t-shirt, rugby shirt and tracksuit can only be purchased from the same shop which stocks the skirt and blazer. Sixth formers (Years 12-13) are not required to wear the uniform.Religion
As suggested by the name, Cardinal Pole is a
Roman Catholic school. While it admits a substantial number of non-Catholic pupils, most of the students are from Catholic backgrounds. A religious assembly attended by staff and pupils is held four times a week. On occasion, Masses replace general assembly. Every student is required to take Religious Education atGCSE level, in keeping with the school's religiousethos . A non-examination Religious Education Programme is also followed by all sixth-form students.Alumni
