Archie Binns (
1899 Port Ludlow, WA –1971 Sequim, WA ) was an American author.He graduated from
Stanford University in 1921. Though strongly influenced by hisPacific Northwest upbringing, Binns moved toNew York, NY in the 1920s. While atCharles Scribner's Sons publishing house his editor wasMaxwell Perkins . Binns returned toSeattle in the 1940s and retired to Sequim, WA in 1964, where he continued to write until his death from a stroke. He is survived by his second wife, Ellen Binns, six children, and many grandchildren.Novels
