There are various different kinds of waste receptacle:

*The traditional dustbin or rubbish bin, often used in the house.
*Trash cans or ashcans, an outdoor version of the dustbin made of metal.
*Dumpsters or skips.
*Wastepaper Baskets.
*Trash barrels.
*Ashbins (also spelt Ash Bin or Ash-Bin).
*Wheelie bins.
*Recycling bins
