"The Rising" is a single by metal band Trivium. It was the third single from their 2006 album, "The Crusade". There has been great confusion over whether or not the song was going to be released. However, it appeared for download on their website mid-April with the sub-title "The latest single off "The Crusade". [ [http://www.trivium.org/media.php?s=2 The Rising on Trivium.org] ] Previous to this on 11th February it was announced on Roadrunner Records Australia that they would be shooting a video for this song. It reached 32 on the US Mainstream Rock Chart. All of the music, including guitar, bass, and drums, was written by Paolo Gregoletto, Trivium's bassist; while the lyrics were written by frontman Matt Heafy.
