Magnus Pehrsson (born 25 February 1976) is a Swedish former football player and the current head coach of Allsvenskan team Djurgårdens IF.

Career

Playing career

During his playing career Pehrsson played for IFK Lidingö, Djurgårdens IF and IFK Göteborg in Sweden, as well as Bradford City in England.

Management career

In 2006 Pehrsson was appointed manager of IK Sirius. In November 2007, Pehrsson was appointed manager of GAIS. He later moved on to coach the Danish Superliga team, Aalborg BK in January 2009. He was sacked on 11 October 2010. Pehrsson signed on for Djurgårdens IF as their new manager in November 2010. He will begin working for Djurgården when his contract with Aalborg ends in December 2011.[1] Due to a poor start to the 2011 Allsvenskan the Djurgården club board on 3 May 2011 decided to sack Lennart Wass and install Pehrsson as his replacement.[2]
