Eden Victoria Lena Robinson (born
19 January 1968 ) is a Canadiannovelist andshort story writer.Born in Kitamaat,
British Columbia , she is a member of theHaisla andHeiltsuk First Nations . She was educated at theUniversity of Victoria and theUniversity of British Columbia .Robinson's critically acclaimed first book, "Traplines" (1995), was a collection of long short stories. She received the
Ethel Wilson Fiction Prize for her second book, "Monkey Beach" (2000), a novel.Robinson's sister,
