Colonel Alfred Richard Baxter-Cox born in Cue, Western Australia on 7 September 1898. Baxter Cox was an Architect who enlisted in AIF on the 13 January. 1916 and discharged on 7 March 1920.[ [http://naa12.naa.gov.au/scripts/imagine.asp?B=3435670&I=1&SE=1 Service Record] accessed 14 April 2007] ]Sapper Baxter-Cox posted the 3rd Tunnelling Coy camped on Blackboy Hill, Western Australia on 29 February 1916. Embarked for service over seas 26 March 1916, appointed 2nd Lieutenant 1 May 1918 and posted to General Infantry Reinforcements. Then transferred to the 4th Battalion 14 May 1918, and was promoted to Lieutenant 28 November 1918.
