Illinois Eastern Community Colleges
- Illinois Eastern Community Colleges
The Illinois Eastern Community Colleges is a community college district located near the western bank of the Wabash River, which divides Illinois from Indiana.
Illinois residents from the IECC district benefit from a reciprocal agreement where nearly all of the out-of-state fees to attend the University of Southern Indiana are waived, in exchange for similar tuition discounts for Indiana students in IECC schools. The schools themselves are extremely inexpensive, and offer numerous night classes and distance learning courses for non-traditional students. Occupational courses are offered in coal mining and diesel technologies as well as Commercial Driver's License training. English as a second language (ESL) courses are offered by all member schools, for the benefit of their foreign exchange students.
