Ricardo Berzoini

Ricardo Berzoini

Ricardo Berzoini is the President of the Workers' Party of Brazil. He was elected to this post on 11 October, 2006. Prior to this appointment, Berzoini was the Former Minister for Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, the current President of Brazil. His name was on the news when Ricardo Berzoini, the Minister of Social Welfare, caused unnecessary hardships for thousands of elderly retired persons by irresponsible arbitrary action during the past fortnight. Without warning, he suspended payment of retirement benefits to all persons over 90 years of age until they proved that they were alive.
