0-6-0 steamtank locomotive s designed by James Holden for theGreat Eastern Railway . They passed to theLondon and North Eastern Railway at thegrouping in 1923 and received the LNER classification J67. Some R24s were rebuilt with higher boiler pressure in which form they were similar to the later GER Class S56. The rebuilt R24s, together with the S56s, were classified J69 by the LNER.Numbering
British Railways numbers were 68490-68636 but this series contained both J67 and J69 (GER S56) classes.ources
