Judy Shalom Nir-Mozes

Judy Shalom Nir-Mozes ( _he. ג'ודי שלום ניר מוזס) is an Israeli socialite and talk show host. Heiress to the Israeli newspaper Yediot Aharonot, she is married to former Foreign Minister Silvan Shalom.

She appeared in the news in April 2005 for presenting Prince Charles a gold talisman from Yitzchak Kaduri as a wedding present for his upcoming marriage to Camilla Parker Bowles, saying that she had presented a similar talisman to President Bill Clinton during his time in office and that it had helped him with a his difficult political situation. Later, on Israel Army Radio, she referred to the event with the following statement, "Prince Charles was very charming about it, not at all the drip that Israelis assume he is."

In May 2005, she was involved in a scandal, along with her husband, Israeli ambassador to Washington, Danny Ayalon and his wife, Ann Ayalon. It is alleged that she was responsible for an article in Yediot Aharonot that suggested that the Ambassador's wife was inappropriately spending funds on personal travel and renovations to her home. In addition to trying to discredit Ayalon, the diplomat charged that she was trying to get his personal secretary fired for failing to arrange a meeting between Madonna and Judy while Madonna was attending a Kabbalah conference.

Shalom Nir-Mozes is regularly parodied on the satricial current affairs show Eretz Nehederet, in which she is portrayed by Orna Banai in a fairly bohemian manner. On occasions where her husband appears by her side, he is represented as being extremely timid and only speaking when told to by his wife.
