Tanner Walle

Tanner Walle (born November 4, 1983) is a singer-songwriter based out of Lawrence, Kansas. His music has an acoustic base, however, his latest album "The Future of Tape" adds a fusion of electronic pop. While building his career over the past few years, Walle has performed with Kelly Clarkson, The Samples, Everclear, Graham Colton, Pat McGee Band, and numerous good friends from Ari Hest to Marc Broussard, Matt Wertz, and Dave Barnes.

Tanner Walle was raised in Minneapolis, KS, where he spent most of his youth until moving to Phoenix, AZ in 1997 at the age of 13. Walle participated in theater at Paradise Valley High School, performing alongside Kyle XY's Matt Dallas. In the summer of 2000, Tanner and high school friend Rob Doherty formed the band Oddbox. Oddbox performed regionally, and shared a weekly Thursday night residency with The Charles River Project at Don Miguel's on Arizona State University's campus.

After graduating in 2002, Walle relocated to Lawrence, KS where he attended the University of Kansas for three years. During this time, in the summer of 2004, Tanner recorded his first full-length album "It Was" with producer/engineer Robert Rebeck at Chapman Studios in Kansas City. In the spring of 2005, Walle began writing and recording his record "The Future of Tape" with DJNOTADJ member Jerett Fulton. Fulton's recording studio Mixtape Soundlab hosted their collaborative efforts until the spring of 2007 when they released the album on Mixtape Meditation Records. Their CD release was held at the Granada Theater in Lawrence on March 2, 2007.

In the summer of 2007, Tanner again relocated to New York City and currently resides in Manhattan.
