Theodore Seton Dury was a first class cricketer who played 7 games for
Oxford University and 13 matches for Yorkshire County Cricket Club from 1878 to 1881 as an amateur. He also appeared in matches for an England XI, Gentlemen of England, Gentlemen of the North and Marylebone Cricket Club.He was educated at Harrow School, playing for the cricket eleven in 1870. He went up to
St. John’s College , Oxford, playing for them in 1875 and 1876, when he gained his blue. He also represented his University at rackets.A right handed batsman, he scored 565 runs in all first class cricket, with a best of 46 against
I Zingari , at an average of 13.78. A right-arm medium roundarm bowler, he took 3 wickets at 52.66 with a best of 2 for 38 againstMiddlesex CCC .He was born on June 12, 1854 in
Ripley , Yorkshire, gained his B.A. in 1877 and became a solicitor. He died on March 20, 1932 inEarl's Court ,Kensington .References
