Hua Sheng

Hua Sheng

Hua Sheng (born July 18, 1919) is a Chinese billionaire, and president/CEO of Serenity Hotel & Casino. He is currently living in Hong Kong, and makes approximately $1.3 billion per year.

Early life

Hua Sheng was born in 1919 in Shanghai, China to Chao and Jiayi Sheng. In 1924, his family moved to Beijing to make room for their upcoming baby girl. In November 1924, Hua's father was found to have lung cancer. In January 1925, he died, a month before the birth of Li Lu Sheng. After the death of his father, Hua's mother started to work and left Li Lu with Hua. They stayed in Beijing for the next five years. In 1929, the stock market crashed. Hau's mother lost much money and it was hard for them to make a living. By the end of that year, they decided to move to America, after living off barley enough to stay alive, and saving money for their trip.

Teenage Years

Hua came to America in 1930, almost eleven. They moved to Manhattan, New York. Right away Hua got mixed in with the wrong crowd. One day, Jiayi got a call from the school. A child brought a gun to school and Hua had been shot. Hua got the bullet removed from his thigh later that day, and his mother decided to send his to a private school. At her new job, she had enough money to raise a family and send Hua to school. Hua started Gasdar's School for the Gifted the next school year. He didn't fit in at all and had a very upsetting middle school period. When he was fifteen he was ready to leave his private school and go to high school. But a sudden change came into his life. His mother had met Micheal Parker, the high school basketball coach. They got married June, 25 1935. In 1937, Hua's new baby brother
