- The primary school
About the Band
the primary school is a three-piece rock-and-roll band from the south-side of Glasgow, Scotland. They write all their own material and are currently gigging in the Glasgow area and recording their material with Graeme Duffin, formerly of Wet Wet Wet.
They consist of S.Ford (Guitar/Vocals), J.Ford (Drums/Vocals) and A.Watt (Bass/Vocals).
They formed in June 2006 when A.Watt joined the band after a series of unsuccessful lineups involving other members of the Ford family. This was after them being close friends for many years [http://www/myspace.com/theprimaryschool]
Each member of the band has always admitted to learning their instrument as they went along and this progression can be seen in the progression of their songs.
The band ethos has always been to write simple songs and play them as basically as they can at a high volume and quick tempo with the sole intention of giving the audience a good time. They like to bring some humour to music, or gut wrenching melancholy.
