It is a beginning point for synthesis of many compounds including sulfur drugs, biocides, fungicides, dyes and chemical reaction accelerators. 2-Aminothiazole can be used as athyroid inhibitor in the treatment ofhyperthyroidism and it has antibacterial activity.External links
