The superhighway begins with the junction with TF2 and the short TF4 near the Canary Islands' only refinery and is 1 km south of the downtown area of Santa Cruz de Tenerife. The superhighway enters into the northern suburbs
History
The superhighway was first opened in the late-1970s when tourism arrived, it first opened within Santa Cruz de Tenerife, it later extended to the famous town of Güímar and in the 1990s extended to Arona and later extended last to
Adeje to meet up with tourism traffic. The superhighway runs from El Rosario to San Miguel de Abona over the mountain landscape and serves mountain interchanges. The TF1 serves an interchange with theTenerife South Airport 1 km north of the terminal and several in Abona, the superhighway ends in a circle southwest of Adeje.Municipalities
