Scottish Executive Legal and Parliamentary Services (LPS) was a civil service department of the Scottish Executive until May 2007. LPS was responsible for the legal administration of the ScottishExecutive, including how the Executive exercises its statutory powers, and its relationship with the Scottish Parliament.

The Department was comprised of the following areas:
* The Office of the Solicitor to the Scottish Executive (OSSE) - provides legal advice to the Executive and Executive agencies, in particular on the extent of their statutory powers;
* The Office of the Scottish Parliamentary Counsel (OSPC) - drafts Scottish Parliament Bills for the legislative programme of the Scottish Ministers;
* Constitution and Legal Services Group (CLSG) - responsible for various areas including freedom of information (FOI), liaison with the Scottish Parliament on business and procedural matters, and constitutional policy; and
* The Legal Secretariat to the Lord Advocate (LSLA) - provides support to the Lord Advocate and Solicitor General.
