Before then, the station was carried on 104.9 FM in Laramie. It is alsowebcast on theinternet at [http://www.kuvo.org www.kuvo.org] .KUVO began operations on
August 29 ,1985 . Its local programming consists primarily ofjazz ,blues , andlatin jazz music, but it also includes programs devoted toacid jazz ,funk , gospel,r&b , salsa and other musical genres. In addition, the station carries selected NPR and other syndicated programs such as:Marian McPartland 's "Piano Jazz "; "Riverwalk Jazz ", hosted by Jim Cullum; "Jazz from Lincoln Center", hosted byWynton Marsalis ; andDee Dee Bridgewater 's "Jazz Set". The station also boasts its own performance studio and will on occasion broadcast live performances and interviews by local and national jazz recording artists.
