Ghulam Yahya Khan Tarzi (born 1898) was a
public servant anddiplomat inAfghanistan from 1920 to 1964.Internationally, Ghulam Yahya Khan Tarzi began his career in public service in the field of
international affairs . He joined the Afghan Foreign Service in 1920. By 1926, he was the Director General ofPolitical Affairs from 1926 to 1927 in the AfghanForeign Ministry . Tarzi would return toKabul in 1930 and in 1934, would take up the position of Director of thePublic Health Department. This led to his appointment as Minister of Public Health in 1935, a critical position in the impoverished country of Afghanistan.
