Suzanne Cory

Suzanne Cory

Suzanne Cory AC, FAA, FRS (b. March 11, 1942) is an Australian biologist.

She is the current director of the Walter and Eliza Hall Institute of Medical Research (WEHI), joint head (with her husband, Professor Jerry Adams), of the Molecular Genetics of Cancer Division at this institute, and Professor of Medical Biology at the University of Melbourne. She was awarded a L'Oréal-UNESCO Award for Women in Science in 2001 and the Royal Medal of the Royal Society in 2002.

She has worked on the genetics of the immune system and cancer, has lobbied her country to invest in science. She is married to a fellow scientist from her post-doctoral years.
