Due to a recent risk analysis, access to Gibson Steps will be closed to all persons until further notice. The decision has been made on the basis of an engineering report that found there is an unacceptable level of risk to visitors at the site. The risk is from potential collapse of the cliff directly onto the steps. Any attempt to access this beach is not recommended.
