Last Hours

Last Hours

Last Hours (known as Rancid News prior to 2005) is a relatively young punk zine, in circulation since the spring of 2003.

Last Hours was initially launched at a time when Fracture and Reason To Believe zines were still in existence. Since those publications ceased, Last Hours assumed their mantel documenting the UK punk scene. A key difference between Last Hours and the aforementioned zines is that Last Hours is sold outside gigs, and in record and comic stores rather than being available for free. It was compared to San Francisco-based Maximum RocknRoll, due largely to similar political beliefs and style of music covered. [Boarts Larson, Christine, Slug and Lettuce #82, August 2004]

More recent issues have introduced more comics and illustration into the zine with more diverse interviews and articles about radical culture and anti-authoritarian ideas. [ [http://www.lasthours.org.uk/about | Last Hours about page] ]
