Wanstead to the East.Snarebrook is bounded approximately by
South Woodford to the north, the lower reaches ofEpping Forest and UpperLeytonstone andWalthamstow to the west, Leytonstone to the south andWanstead to the east. However, Snaresbrook Ward in the London Borough of Redbridge covers most of Wanstead High Street.Snaresbrook's most notable building is
Snaresbrook Crown Court . It was opened in 1843 as an Infant Orphan Asylum by King Leopold of Belgium, and later became a school. It was designed byGilbert Scott andWilliam Bonython Moffatt .Snaresbrook Primary is one of the schools in Snaresbrook.
