Heathrow Airport . There have been delays to the plan due to pressure from [http://www.notrag.org/ NOTRAG] (the local No Third Runway Action Group) and concerns over environmental damage. In November 2007 the Department for Transport published a consultation paper confirming the Government's support for the building of a third runway but subject to conditons being met on noise levels, air quality limits and improvements in public transport access. Comments were sought on whether these conditions could be met and nearly 70,000 responses were received. The Government says that it will announce a final decision by the end of 2008. The Conservative Party has committed itself to scrap the plans if it is elected to power at the next general election.Current residents include Simon Lloyd Cuff, chapel warden at Keble College, Oxford.
