Recent expansion

Lately the industrial park has undergone a great deal of growth. In 2006 Pepsico announced they would build a Gatorade plant that would employ 280 people.cite web | url=http://www.kotv.com/news/local/story/?id=108363| title=Gatorade Boost To Eastern Oklahoma's Economy | publisher=KOTV: kotv.com | accessdate=2007-04-07] Still more excitement surrounds the possibility of the addition of a Google data center to the park. The data center would contain thousands of servers that require a great deal of electricity. In early April 2007 Google officials revealed that the company was interested in opening a data center in Mid America Industrial Park. One of the major reasons that Google was interested in the site was the quality land and low cost of electricity. cite web | url=http://kotv.com/news/local/story/?id=124463| title=Gearing Up For Google | publisher=KOTV: kotv.com | accessdate=2007-04-07]

The Mid America Industrial park is also home to a branch of OSU-Okmulgee, which has some of the classes that OSU-Okmulgee provides.
