Marcus George

Marcus George (born, February 28, 1986) is an English rugby league footballer for Halifax. He is the son of former Halifax player Wilf George. Marcus began his career on Halifax's scholarship programme but turned professional with Huddersfield Giants. After rejecting a contract from the Giants, Marcus had a spell on a pay-as-you-play deal at the Bradford Bulls, the club he left to join Halifax in the 2006 season.[1] He has since established himself as a first team regular at The Shay. Marcus plays in the wing position. He scored 7 tries in 14 appearances in his first season with Halifax, and 12 tries from 13 appearances this term.

His younger brother Luke is currently in the first-team squad at Super League club Wakefield Trinity Wildcats
