Rutherford is a New Jersey Transit train station serving the Bergen County Line. It is located in Rutherford, New Jersey at the junction of Park Avenue, Union Avenue, Erie Avenue and Orient Way. The junction is known as Station Square. The rail tracks serve as a border between Rutherford and neighboring East Rutherford. The current station was built in 1898. The station was placed on the List of Registered Historic Places in New Jersey and the National Register of Historic Places on June 22, 1984.
