Ramsey Route 17 Station is one of the New Jersey Transit rail stations in Ramsey, New Jersey serving both its Main Line and Bergen County line trains, as well as select Port Jervis Line trains. This rail station, opened on August 22, 2004, serves both local and express trains, some of which travel non-stop to Secaucus Junction. This rail station is adjacent to Highway 17, allowing motorists drive straight to the station from the highway, which makes it very convenient. Travel time to New York is about 1 hour on local trains and about 40 minutes on express trains.

Benefits

There are several benefits of this station. It is directly off the highway so commuters are able to easily get to the station and in addition, express trains also stop at this station, cutting up to 17 minutes of travel time to Secaucus, Hoboken, and New York. As of 2005, the parking fees also lowered.
