Friesen was born in Sudbury,
Ontario ,Canada . He was a member ofAlice Cooper 's band from 1989-1991, 1998-2000 and 2002. He played on both the 'Trash' and 'Hey Stoopid' tours, and also appears in the film Wayne's World alongside Alice. On how he got this gig, Pete is to have said: "Well, my roommate was going to the Guitar Institute of Technology and he just asked me if I wanted to go as well. I did a year at GIT and then hung around in LA after that. The Alice Cooper thing came about when a bass player friend of mine was going to audition for an Alice video. You know, just miming and all that, and he asked me if I wanted to go along. It turns out that I got the gig miming bass guitar for the Poison video. That's how I got my foot in the door with Alice. He called me and asked me to audition for the touring band and I got the gig!"The Almighty are a rock band from Glasgow,Scotland and formed in 1988. Pete joined the band in 1991, recorded and toured with them until 1996. They disbanded with vocalist Ricky Warwick pursuing a solo career. The lineup featuring Pete reformed in January 2006.As of 2002, Pete has a new band called The Quakey Shakeys which feature Ex-Judas Priest drummer Les Binks, Ex-Poormouth guitarist/vocalist Tom Lundy and bassist/vocalist Phil Rynhart, see http://www.morsongs.com/Pete currently teaches at the
