The R639 is one of Ireland's
regional road s which was classified following the opening of a by-passed National Primary route.By-passed sections of the old N8 are reclassified R639 as soon a new section of M8 is opened. Eventually the R639 will stretch from
Port Laoise to Cork.Route (sections)
