R446 road

The R446 is one of Ireland's newest regional roads, having being classified following the opening in 2006 of the N6 dual-carriageway which by-passes part of the old route.

By-passed sections of the old N6 are reclassified R446 as soon a new section of N6 is opened. Eventually the R446 will stretch from Kinnegad to Galway.

* From the N6 east of Athlone to the N6 west of Athlone.
* From the N6 east of Loughrea to the N6 west of Loughrea.
